At Russell B Gregory Winery, we travel to California, Washington State and Oregon to walk the vineyards and select the grapes which will become our premium wines
There are decades of knowledge which go into growing these vines. Premium Russell B Gregory wines can only come from premium grapes

Our Premium 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon
"The flavor profile of this 100% Cabernet lets you know it is pure mountain fruit with its deep rich crimson-purple color and elegant fruit structure. From grapes grown at 1700 ft. in the Mayacamas Mountain range, big ripe plum, black raspberry and red currant fruit blend harmoniously with touches of Asian spice, vanilla, hints of violets and cocoa powder. It's soft tannins and depth of flavors make this the best example of a Michigan produced Cabernet Sauvignon, hands down. Add grilled lamb or a hearty steak to the mix for one enjoyable experience."

Our Premium 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon
"With the outrageous prices of California Cabernets on today’s wine market, don’t come crying to me that you had to spend $100, $200, $300 or even more for a decent one to drink when there is one at the fraction of the cost and just as good as the big guys. This Sonoma gem is deep rich violet in color with plum and black raspberry fruit originating from the Mayacamas Mountains. So multi-layered with vanilla, eucalyptus, pie spice, fresh brewed espresso bean and cigar box notes, for a 9 year old Cab, it’s as sleek and velvety as a wine can be. Fermented in new French Oak and at 14.8%, I judge this David –vs- Goliath a knock out winner.."

Our Premium 2020 Pinot Grigio
"The 2020 Pinot Grigio fruit is sourced from the hillside of the Aalto Ridge along the Washington State side of the Columbia River in the Columbia Gorge AVA. Super clean pear, white peach, Fuji apple, green melon and apricot flavors excite the palate while fig and nutty almond notes further enhance your senses allowing for a dry, racy and sleek finish."

Our Premium 2017 Sangiovese
"Sangiovese, the noble grape of Italy’s Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Villa Nobile di Montelpulciano producers, are some of the finest examples of wines in the world. Yet, there is no need to look overseas for such quality, its right here in your own backyard. Sourced from a renowned vineyard in California’s Sonoma County, this multi-layered gem shows perfumed black cherry, black raspberry, red current and blackberry fruit with fresh violets and a touch of smoke coating the palate. From its bright fragrant nose to its velvety lush finish, this Sangiovese will have visions of Tuscany dancing through your head. With a very limited production, don’t be shut out of treating yourself to one of the finest examples of this American classic."

Our Premium 2017 Syrah
"There are plenty of overhyped overpriced Syrah on the open market but can I let you in on a little secret? This could be the biggest steal in the wine world for this Rhone varietal. Sourced from grapes from the highly regarded Plum Ridge Vineyard in Sonoma’s Fountain Grove AVA, the intoxicating aromas of grilled meat and vibrant berries on the nose give way to deep dark intense plum, boysenberry, black raspberry and blackberry fruit on the palate. Multiple layers of cigar smoke, mocha, bacon fat, savory herbs, tea leaf and cracked black pepper excite the senses while rich flavors of vanilla and violets round out its lush character. Dark as the night sky, this gem is not only a tasteful treat upon opening, this age worthy effort is something you may want to set down in your cellar for years to come. A perfect compliment to hearty dishes of lamb, steak, pulled pork and any type of grilled fare. Don’t walk….. run as fast as you can for one of the best Syrah based wines I have experienced in a long time. If Julie Andrews were to sample this wine, I’m sure she would be belting out at the top of her lungs: Hooray! Syrah-Syrah!!!"

Our Premium 2017 Vintners Select Blend
"Using baseball terminology, you’ve got the bases loaded with 60% Grenache on 1st, 25% Syrah on 2nd and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon on 3rd. When the winemakers came up to the plate, they hit nothing short of a Grand Slam with this Cali-Rhone blend. With a spiced and perfumed fruit nose, there are huge layers of juicy jammy blueberry, black currant and black cherry fruit. Hazelnuts and almonds surround the concentrated flavors throughout while the long racy finish begs for another taste. Sourced from grapes from the famed Landmark Estate and Plum Ridge Vineyard in Sonoma, get in the game and consider this wine a prime ticket that you can enjoy all 4 seasons long."

Our Premium 2021 Sauvignon Blanc
"The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc is a wild mix of vibrant fruit flavors that seems to emit a new profile with each new sip. Key lime, grapefruit, green melon, tangerine and pear fruit shine as notes of lemongrass and wild honey coat the palate all the way through its grassy and tart/sweet fruit finish. Sourced from the Garnier Vineyard along the southern edge of the Columbia Gorge section of Oregon along the Columbia River, its 13.2% alcohol content and tropical fruit flavors would be the perfect pairing for spicy seafood or a crisp arugula salad."
